New Year Dinner

Simple Recipes for our New Year Dinner!

My boyfriend, Rick and I have been together for almost 16 months on the 13th of Jan. 2015!  He is such a sweet man of my life!   I am also blessed that my son , Sam is staying with us for two weeks!  He graduated from Air Force in Texas last August and then he stayed in Florida for several months.   Everyone in my family is so happy to have him back home for Christmas.   Now we are going to celebrate a big nice dinner on New Year before he is returning to Air Force in Florida on the third of Jan.

Hope you have a blessed 2015.   Keep healthy and stay safe!

Enjoy our recipes.  Most of the recipes are pretty simple.  I'm a busy mom and I always want to stay with my family.  Our time is so precious!

Dressing for the turkey
One loaf bread ( you know how to do it.. make sure that they are dry and seasoned ) ( your favorite bread)
One can - Cream of chicken
One cup - water
1/2 cup- finely chopped onion
One cup- finely chopped celery
Salt and pepper to taste
and one cup or 1/2 cup- raisins

Mix it well..and then put in the turkey

Green beans
Cooked green beans - drained- added some butter and salt to taste and then sprinkle with cooked bacon on the top.

Cranberry Jello
one package- cherry gelatin
1 1/2 cup- boiling water
two cans- cranberry sauce
Mix it well
refrigerate until it's firm.

Gluten-free peach cobbler
You can look up on a Google. It's a pretty long list to type it up, so it's fun to make and I believe you do a great job!

Flour-less pumpkin cake bars ( you may get tired of pumpkin pies from Thanksgiving and Christmas , so you may want to make something different)
1/4 cup pumpkin puree, 2 tablespoon - maple syrup or honey, one egg, 1/8 tsp salt, one tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp baking soda... Mix it well together and pour in a greased pan.
Oven 350 for 20 minutes

Sweet potato
Mashed sweet potato- you can add some butter, salt , and brown sugar to it.   You may want to add a little bit of milk to make it smoothly.   Cinnamon is optional.

White potato or Red potato
Follow the instruction on back of a bag of potato seasoning mix

For your information,  I type it from my mind.  I hope all the recipes I put are good.

We also serve some veggie tray, chips with spinach dip, and cheese on crackers!  Make your favorite salad, too.

We eat and eat through all day and night....just being chatty and lazy in a family room.  Play games and watch TV... Go outside and play like everyone does on a holiday!

Happy New Year!

This is my real love. He's so caring and warm.   We enjoy being together every minute!

Here is my poetry.

Is this a real love?
Isn't it caring and warm?
Yes, I feel it now.
