Whatever Happens in Deafread/Deafvideo TV

Whatever happens in Deafread and Deafvideo TV, getting rid of all bitterness, anger, and harsh words/signs is necessary for all of us. Instead, we can find better words/signs and be tenderhearted to each other. It will NEVER be easy, but it's worth a try!

Paul Smith with Extraordinary Talent

Truly Amazing!

Paul Smith, the man with extraordinary talent was born in Philadelphia on September 21, 1921 with severe cerebral palsy. Not only had Paul beaten the odds of a life with spastic cerebral palsy, a disability that impeded his speech & mobility but also taught himself to become a master artist as well as a terrific chess player even after being devoid of a formal education as a child.'When typing, Paul used his left hand to steady his right one. Since he couldn't press two keys at the same time, he almost always locked the shift key down and made his pictures using the symbols at the top of the number keys. In other words, his pictures were based on these characters ..... @ # $ % ^ &* ( ) _ .Across seven decades, Paul created hundreds of pictures.

He often gave the originals away. Sometimes, but not always, he kept or received a copy for his own records. As his mastery of the typewriter grew, he developed techniques to create shadings, colors, and textures that made his work resemble pencil or charcoal drawings.'This great man passed away on June 25, 2007, but left behind a collection of his amazing artwork that will be an inspiration for many.

KODA's Dreaming

Last night, my daughter, Hannah had an interesting dream. In the dream, she picked up a coconut, wondering why it felt hairy. She woke up and felt something hairy. It was Brandon's head. She had dragged his head and had it on her chest. His feet were on the pillow where head was supposed to be.

"Last Night I dreamed Of Chickens"
by Jack Prelutsky
Last night I dreamed of chickens,
there were chickens everywhere…
They were on the chairs and tables,
they were on the chandeliers,
they were roosting in the corners,
they were clucking in my ears,...
there were chickens, chickens,
chickens for as far as I could see…
when I woke today,
I noticed there were eggs on top of me.

Random Thoughts

1. Congratulations to our 44th President Obama!

2. I went out to eat with my oldest daughter, Tami and her husband (my son-in-law), Dan for lunch today.

3. I finished making a baby blanket for my granddaughter, Avalon.

4. My husband is taking Brandon out to the park, and I have the computer all to myself!

5. I had some tears on my face when I watched Tar's vlog as to our president Obama.

A Little Bit of Heaven by Clay Harrison~

A Little Bit of Heaven

~Clay Harrison~

There's a little bit of Heaven

In every child of God,

And every seed of kindness sown

is sown in fertile sod.

There's a little bit of Heaven

Within the Christian heart,

For once the Spirit dwells there,

it becomes a work of art.

There's a little bit of Heaven

in every answered prayer,

For once a prayer is answered

you know the Lord is there!

There's a little bit of Heaven

in every hymn we sign,

For when we sing His praises,

it's a many splendored thing.

There's a little bit of Heaven

in every passing day,

For the Father loves His children,

and keeps in touch that way.
