My Love for Winter

I want to share why I like Winter so much. But I would like you to also know that, for some reasons, I dislike Winter. Mainly, it's that I don't exactly like to be freezing in a car where I have to save the gas in the tank... Which means no heat...
But anyways, there are several things I like about Winter. First of all, Winter is one of my favorite seasons. It reminds me of a dreamy white Christmas season, when the children can enjoy playing in the snow and have some hot cocoa. Secondly, I like to be cuddle in a cozy homemade blanket by the fireplace and watch Christmas movies with my hubby and children. It binds us together with a lovely closeness.
Lastly, I enjoy using the oven to cook.. Not only to warm up the house, but also so that my family can enjoy many great foods. All in all, there is something to enjoy during Winter!

And don't forget to enjoy the snow!

Getting Ready in December!

Saturday night: We got our Christmas tree up!

Sunday and Monday: I just finished sending out the Christmas cards.

Monday: I wrote this short poem!

Tuesday: I'm thinking about going out shopping. It's not really my pleasure since I worry about how much I spend. I'm not rich but try to find reasonable prices.

Wednesday: I'll make Christmas cookies and cupcakes!

Thursday: Hannah is going to be in the Christmas Choir in the downtown.

Friday: I'm not sure what we will do. I think I'll wrap the gifts.

Saturday: We'll go to Deaf Christmas Party at the church in Boulder.

Sunday: We'll go to the deaf church in Denver and stay for a potluck and fellowship.

I guess that's enough for now.

Be Offended!


Wake up and open your eyes!
See that being a Christian does not mean going to church.
Going to happy-go-lucky concerts.
Going to motivational weekend get-a-ways.
Potlucks on the first Sunday of the month.
Being holier-than-thou.
Refusing to understand because it’s "bad."
Being a Christian . . . being CHRIST like . . .
a CHRIST follower . . . being a little CHRIST
means being knowing that God is the ONLY judge.
Being there for someone when they need you.
Shining so brightly that people want to know
why you are different.
Hanging out with the sinners.
I am so tired, WORN DOWN, and SICK of "Christians."
How fake you are.
How utterly disgusting you are.
You are so caught up in throwing your Religion in people’s faces
and judging them for their sins that you FORGET to follow God.
You forgot that God and Christ love everyone.
It is not for you to judge.
JESUS CHRIST was offensive.
He hung out with the dirty whores, liars, and thieves.
JESUS CHRIST made the Pharisees angry.
JESUS CHRIST offended the religious people.
I see people every single day
who think they are better than the bum on the street.
I see people every single day
who think they are better than the man
who cheated on his wife.
I see people every single day
who think they are better than the person
who stole a car.
When do I see people who realize that
their sins are NO LESS and NO GREATER
than any other sin?
Hardly. Ever.
I hate that people justify their actions
by hiding behind their religion.
May I remind you that you are acting out of a sinful nature
by being a judge instead of a follower?
Now, I ain’t perfect.
I just said ain’t.
But at least I know that I have no religion.

I have a faith . . . I have a passion . . . and I have love.
That is all I need.
Because when you are sitting in your Bible study
with your religious friends . . .
I am out there . . .
Showing the people who really need God
what He is all about.
Love. Forgiveness. Acceptance.
Not judgement. Haughtiness. Rejection.
Be offended.

Legend of the Five Kernels

Legend of the Five Kernels:

The first winter the pilgrims spent in their
new home was very cold. Food was in short
supply. Some days they had only enough food
for each person to have five kernels of corn for
the day. Spring came. They planted food. It grew.
All of the pilgrims did not die. From then on when
it was time of Thanksgiving, the pilgrims put five
kernels of corn on each plate and used them to
remind them of their blessings: The first kernel
reminds us of the autumn's beauty around us.

I'm not perfect but will always need to know wisdom and teaching whatever happening in my daily life. Let Him work in our live and His word through us.

They show you how to know wisdom and teaching, to find the words of understanding. They help you learn about the ways of wisdom and what is right and fair. They give wisdom to the child-like, and much learning and wisdom to those who are young. A wise man will hear and grow in learning. I think Russell is cute, but some of his talking isn't cute at all. What does it mean? AnNoYiNg.
That’s what it is. He’s trying to be nice. Yes, I can see that. I think he’s cute and trying to be nice. To me, he's a little bit annoying. What Russell has said is not oppressing.

Like me? Maybe you do. Some of you like him, and some of you don’t like him. No big deal.


I don't think there is any audism in DVTV. No, that is not Audism. They just have different perspective they want to share . . . and different beliefs on stuff. Why? All different people aren’t on the same idea. They have a right to share what they think. It's a freedom of speech. Like it or not. That is what we have to deal with. Life goes on.

Keep a healthy dialogue . . . we need to remind ourselves to praise first then agree to disagree.

Good job, lady (Aguabo) about the facts on CI. I found another blog that some people are suing CI company for the failures. I like you. I hope you don't mind, give Russell a chance. He can be annoying but a little bit.

Good job, Russell for trying to share your perspective with her . . . I think that you need to praise her and admire her . . . then you can share your opinion and what you see . . . It’s your challenge. You also need to see what it’s annoying when you talk to someone. Nevertheless, I like you.

We were roommates at Gallaudet University in my second year. Teri and I had a lot of good memories! A lot of wild times and we laughed! We had a long chat together on Video Phone, caught up with the news, and haven't done it for more than 20 years! I look forward to seeing her in the future. Thanks to Facebook; that's how I found her there!

As Harvest comes before you know
The moon casts its golden glow as you see

Then pumpkin pies will be made from these
the smell of them is on a passing breeze
Apples are ready to be picked from the trees
Seeing them piled in the baskets is a joy
The apple crisp will be made from these

The ripe harvest in the fields can be fun
and you catch the delighted smell of cooking

Five Random Thoughts

I just had five Random thoughts today.

#1 My oldest daughter, Tamra stopped by & we all went out to eat at Taco Bell for lunch!

#2 My granddaughter, Avalon can say, "Da, da, da,da.” She is so cute!

#3 My second and third kids, Sam and Hannah just had haircuts today. They look great!

#4 My youngest son, Brandon was so proud that he's able to help his dad working in the backyard!

#5 I had a long busy day taking care of things and errands. I finally got the set of DVD slideshow of family pictures. I'm glad they would redo it for me at last! (I need to learn how to create a DVD slideshow on my own)

Toddler's ASL at Village Inn

A Burnt Mountain
















It was a Hayman fire (as a forest fire) at Douglas, Jefferson, Park, and Teller countries in Colorado last June 8, 2002. It was seven years ago. I remember that time when it happened, the sun was like orange and we could smell the forest fire all over. It was so greyish during the days. We didn't really like being outside. We still could smell the forest fire smell in our house. How did it happen? It was a forest ranger with a broken heart who was attempting to burn the letter from her husband at the campfire by herself, but it was quickly, uncontrollably spreading out the campfire. It went more than 138,000 acres. At that time, Colorado was going through a serious drought!

We decided to drive up to the mountains last Sunday and shot pictures of some current forests. I have to admit that these features of the forest made a beautiful view! There were some wild flowers. Brandon enjoyed exploring into the forest pasture.
