Deaf Mother's Job (Love, Secure, Comfort)

Last night, I was really deep in sleeping, not feeling anything or the vibration of loud thunders that sound like hitting in the backyard by our house. Hannah woke me up, and I was really trying to become awake fully to give Hannah a comfort. She was so scared and alert by the thunderstorms after midnight. My deaf husband could feel it, and it did alert him.

Most of times, I could feel it when it happens, but last night I felt nothing and slept really well. Anyway, I comforted Hannah and Brandon until it passed. I thought . . . I’m so grateful to be deaf for a peaceful sleep but a mother’s job to be done
.

I sleep peacefully at night as well. I don't hear the storms or noise that might pass by my bedroom window.

But, if one of the kids came to wake me, I would do my job as well.

You are an awesome mom Deb Ann!!

That happened just a few times during my kids' early years. After that we sometimes just got up and watched the celestial show!

I love watching the celestial show, it's so beautiful! Especially when I was in the mountains, I could see the thunderstorms below there. WOW! What a beautiful show. The photos-taken is awesome as well.
