Pop the balloons to bring on the New Year!
Have a fun and safe NeW yEaR eVe! We're going to Denver for the party :)
How do my hands wave? Moving and rising in my hands the way it shows all the pictures. Reaching, grasping and encasing in my hands it paints your understanding into a perfect place. Tumbling and rumbling in my hands move all the beautiful feeling in an inspiration. Crashing and smashing in my hands it stands for all the meanings of natural signing. Waving with my hands reflects! Merry Christmas!
It took my kids a few more days of begging than usual this year to make me get the decorations up. We used to put up the tree after Thanksgiving in the past. After getting the decorations up, I realized that it’s not very fancy but lovely. I pinched in to help as needed, and I sure liked how the nativity scene looks on top of my fireplace and am pleased with how my kids came up with the idea of having the tree by the fireplace. We usually use it in the upstairs livingroom , and we didn't realize until now that it looks so lovely in the downstair family room by the fireplace!
I hope all you guys have a peaceful and enjoyable time with your family and friends on Christmas! I'll have to try and hope to survive it with my mother-in-law staying for three days and two nights.
Anyway, Merry Christmas to you!

Brandon's Fun Art
Painting a Self Portrait Affect
It's written by my youngest daughter, Hannah (11 years old)
How does painting a self portrait affect the way people find out who they are? Self portraits assist me to find out how the artists think about themselves and their life. Since art is so important to me, I like to express life and emotions with it, which is what many other artists try to do when creating their self portraits. First, the background of a self portrait is very important to me when it comes to art. The background of my self portrait would definitely include my family because they're very special to me because they keep me occupied with their love, anger, annoyance, and more. I would also have my fabulous pets included in my self portrait. Like my family, they keep me occupied because they are frequently loving and friendly. Last but not least, I would include my interests, such as reading, drawing, writing, and singing. To conclude, there are several things I would include in a self portrait other than myself. Next, there are a few discoveries that I revealed when thinking about my self portrait. My first finding is that I am too uptight with books, and I need to be more emotional about family and not fictional characters. Plus, I am too uncaring towards my darling pets.
I'm sure they would absolutely enjoy getting more pats, hugs, and kisses that show how much I love them. To sum up, I made many discoveries when thinking about a self portrait. Finally, there are many changes to be formed in my life when I discovered what I did wrong. The first change is that I would make is that I need to be more emotional towards my innocent animals and caring family instead of fictional characters in books and videos. To do that I would take a break from reading and bond with my fabulous pets and family members. I would be more caring to my family by saying thanks more often to display my gratefulness towards them. In conclusion, there are many changes to be made in my life since I realized my mistakes. To summarize, creating a self portrait can help people to uncover who they really are. Through that I realized I need to change what I am emotional about.

The transcript: Lyrics for Throw That Beat in the Garbage Can
Here it comes again, drivin' me nuts.
Can't control my feet or stop shakin' my butt.
The neighbors are complaining, it's getting out of hand.
Throw that beat, beat, beat, beat, beat,
Toss that beat, beat, beat, beat
Toss that beat, beat, beat, beat
Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop
Stop that beat, it makes me apprehensive,
Sweet ruins my clothes, they are very expensive.
The neighbors are complaining, it's getting out of hand.
Throw that beat in the gargabe can.
Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop
It's driving me crazy, ah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha
Toss that beat, beat, beat, beat
Toss that beat, beat, beat, beat

DeafVideo and Pictures
Everyone, I'm so glad that my computer works again! I don't know if I can survive without using it as well as my Video Phone and Ojo, or I'd go insane! I barely survived a week without them. Since none of them were working, I had to use my OLD FASHIONED TTY. It's like I was in a time machine to be back in 1980's. After everything was fixed by the Comcast guys and our friend for few days, my kids were holding and using this computer most of the time, and I had to let my hubby catch up on his emails since he didn't go to the library to check in using their computer. Now it's my turn to catch up on most of the vlogs in Deafvideo TV. Oh my goodness, I missed most of the removed vlogs. I think that Barry from Deafvideo TV is so upset, but I think it's time for him to move on without dicussing with the lady on the problem from Deafvideo TV. I believe that it's hurtful for Barry to move on but no way to get her come down and talk with him. And L'Chaim, the lady made a clear decision that this was it. She won't apologize to those two people, and I guess it's her decision to do so. I guess that it's for most of vloggers to be aware that it's time to let it pass or skip. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, check this link: http://www.deafvideo.tv/video/watch/28005/
As for Deafread, I read some of the blogs. Most are great!
Now I gotta tell you that last week was my BIRTHDAY! I got my big dream digital camera from my lovely hubby, Tom. I played around taking shots of my animals. I'm not Sarah Palin, I just love taking pictures of my animals. They can understand my sign langauge (except for my cat). When they wanted to jump and sleep on my lap while I was sitting on a sofa, they had to wait until I sign: "OKAY" , and then they jumped on my lap! They know about 8 signs.
Here are the pictures of my animals and my children (including Hannah who wrote poems on my blog)!

The Deaf Trouble Maker's Visit To the Principle
The teacher signs my name,
And I look up with fear,
For my meetings with the principle,
Is dreadfully near,
Each minute seems to be a second,
And when it was time,
My direction the teacher beckoned,
Each step led me toward my grave,
So to keep busy I imagined a super here,
That would come and save,
All the kids like me,
My past visits to the boss,
Add up to three,
First detention,
Then ISS,
Then OSS,
I know I will miss my pals,
But skipping Deaf school,
To continue my secret travels,
Is just better,
And one day,
I'll leave forever,
But now I am at her office,
Saying goodbye for the last time,
I just wish that I,
Could take a picture of her scowling faces,
Towards me,
The uncontrollable trouble maker!

Not Hearing What's Behind the Mystery Door
What’s a door, do you see?
The mystery door,
Feeling a want to open and see what’s happening,
Why is it mysterious?
The door was opened and closed so abruptyly,
Feeling a want to take a courage to step out,
While opening the mystery door,
Closing the door by a fear,
Not knowing what’s going to be happening next,
Shadowing and hiding in the room,
Staring at the mystery door,
Waiting for you to open and step out,
Waiting, waiting, and waiting uncountably,
Pushing you to open the door,
Once you open the door, you see a real crashing and smashing waves in the ocean,
You swiftly closed the door,
Becoming a mystery that something seems to be hardly to conquer,
Staying in the dark, empty room too long,
Pushing you to open the door,
Surprisedly, seeing the peace, open space of nothing,
Slowly, stepping out of the door,
Nothing to walk on,
Closing the mystery door again,
Watching the mystery door,
Building something you put on faith,
Pushing you to open the door once more,
Seeing the bridge and ready to step out,
Not walking on a very slimy bridge,
Closing the mystery door,
Mystery is always to be mystery,
The fear of what’s showing in the future of the mystery door.
The mystery door,
Feeling a want to open and see what’s happening,
Why is it mysterious?
The door was opened and closed so abruptyly,

My Room
It's written by my daughter, Hannah
My room is filled with giggles from the past,
But sooner or later they'll fade,
Because nothing there will ever last,
Like when my friends and I always played,
But the future of it is not it's past,
Because now it's where the "girls" and I chat,
And clutch and kiss my fluffy cat,
Where I cower from my terrifying brother,
And get sent to by my strict mother,
My room,
Is filled with my emotions,
My emotions,
Of wonder and imagination,
My imagination causes the things there to comfort me,
In the night,
Like where the moonlight peeks through the blinds
to watch over me,
How my books,
Tell me stories,
While the stuffed creatures,
Complain about being squashed,
And how the fan and light are my sun and wind of the indoors,
My room will always be,
My place,
Of comfort and love.
How my books,
Tell me stories,
While the stuffed creatures,
Complain about being squashed,
And how the fan and light are my sun and wind of the indoors,
My room will always be,
My place,
Of comfort and love.

Deaf's Inner Core
Deaf people are likely to feel stressed in areas specific to deafness. They're walking in their own path. They need to know what they're looking for. In the end, they're completed with the answers. It's also great for people who have struggles in an unhealthy/abusive relationship. It could be anything. Join and read with us.
The shadows in backgrounds or behind the scenes are always a mystery. Not knowing what mystery is could be bad. Not wanting to know what mystery is could be worse! Mystery will be always be mystery.
Walking in silence and passing through places where it smooths conflicts in your thoughts or hearts is peace.
Harmony and peace through Deaf’s eyes come in your heart. Your heart wants to have peace. Enjoying a beautiful scenario brings you peace into your heart and music into your eyes.
Mystery is art. Art is mystery. It’s up to you whether or not you are going to ponder about it and taking your time or just taking a quick glance. (This paragraph was written by my daughter, Hannah.)
You can take a look at this picture (with mystery in it). It gives you something to test your knowledge with by investigating about it and identifying various clues of mystery. Finding the clues is a solution of the mystery.
The sky calms beautifully. The blue weave of sky calms. You wouldn’t want to miss it. Take every minute of spending and staring at the blue weave of sky that calms your soul.
A tear feels so cold and so blue. It embedded in your heart and filled your soul.
You don’t need to be perfect. No one on Earth is perfect. You know the thing that is not easy and amazing to give up on being perfect. You’ll be thrilled by just learning to let it go and be yourself. That giving-up-being-perfect thing is awesome and perfect for just you.
It is healthy to forget about trying to be perfect. Light reflects who you are. Be yourself and let it light.

It's Always My Favorite Fall
"My Favorite Fall" by Deb Ann
Fall brings the moving music in your eyes.
Leaves change color in the air.
Leaves dance in autumn.
The river shines mistily.
All sparkled into your eyes.

What is Art?
This beautiful poem is written by my daughter, Hannah.
Let me tell you what happened in her art class. Her teacher asked the class: "What is Art?"
Hannah gave an answer ,and her teacher was so impressed with her. She asked Hannah to write a poem for her. Hannah also gave one to me for my blog. I'm so proud of her!

Art is beauty.
It sometimes has a hint of mystery
that makes people wonder about it.
Mystery is beauty to some people.
Beauty is art.
You can see how everything fits together.
Two examples of art are the world
and the reflections of EVERYTHING in it.

I guess I’m too shy to be in Deaf Video T.V. I watched all of Dino and Mike’s videos including the comments in the videos. I’m so impressed with people like Mike, Barb, and Aidan (she made my days from her vlogs!). They supported Dino, not because of what happened in the signing circle and the red flag . . . just because they care about well-being. They cared for Dino and comforted her as well. It’s a very healthy thing to do in Deaf Video T.V. Everyone learned a great lesson from Mike, Barb, and others as they comforted Dino. If Dino was on her own, I can’t imagine that it would be very tough for her! My heart has been blossoming to see how Mike, Barb, Aidan, and others to stand by her. I’m not concerned about which side I should take, but while I was watching the videos, I learned a great lesson in there. It’s a great ending. Many special thanks to Mike for making his video since Dino couldn’t do it without him. We all should be like them. Good examples for DeafVideo T.V. and Deafread.
So, here is the haiku I made (a haiku is a type of traditional Japanese poetry)
Lots of hugs,
Deb Ann

The right to be a part of Deafhood process?
The right to explore and self-analyzing on this planet,
The right to feel oneself worth,
Such rights, Deaf, deaf, hard of hearing, CI users, CI/ASL users,
Cuers, late-deafened they’re welcome to the process,
The right to be a part of Deafhood journey or a personal journey,
The right to unite us for Deaf humanity
With succeeding, they’re completed.
